What makes you different?
Going Tiny has been called the next big thing… but we’re not really a Tiny House company. We are a company that helps you become more resilient and more free. In addition to building larger homes (see, not really a tiny house company), we really put a ton of thought and effort into each home, sweating the details and not just thinking about aesthetics or functionality but emphasizing both longevity and versatility,
Here are just some of the things we do that make us different:
We know of no other Tiny home that is as versatile as our Tiny Container Home. It can be placed on a basement or crawlspace foundation, on a gravel bed, on piers, on a pontooned floating deck, or on a trailer — with no further structural modifications from us.
We know of no other Tiny home that is as weather and storm resistant, as our Tiny Container Home. In addition to the cor-ten (corrosion resistant) core, our weatherization details, product choice, and folding porch and/or shuttering option make this the most storm resistant portable or permanent home we know of.
All of our Tiny Container homes include either a full rooftop deck, a full roof, or a partial deck/partial roof. All options keep the sun off the roof and allow rainwater harvesting.
All of our Tiny Homes include both warm weather and cold weather water and gas hookups
All of our Tiny Homes include valving for the option of gravity-fed back up water storage
All of our Tiny Homes include the option of either conventional septic, a composting toilet, or black/gray water holding tanks if placed on a trailer.
All of our Tiny Homes include an auxiliary electrical input, whether via solar, a generator, an RV park or house-house hookup.
All of our Tiny Homes include the option of an in-house battery bank located adjacent to the main electrical panel.
All of our Tiny Homes off the option of hurricane rated doors and windows.
Our window and door weatherization details are unmatched in strength, and leak prevention. Our construction methods include passive drainage that doesn’t depend on adhesives to work. We use adhesives, of course, but only the best urethane based adhesives on the market that our experience has shown to hold up over the years.
All of our Tiny Homes have optional storm shuttering over the windows and doors.
All of our Tiny Homes have the option of our patented folding porch, which not only greatly increases outdoor living space, but serves as a functional storm shutter for whatever side the porch is on.
In short, you will not find a more storm resistant, low-maintenance, versatile, portable or permanent home anywhere.
Those are some of the things we DO include in our homes. Here are some of the things we DON’T do.
We don’t use inferior products. From hollow core doors to cheap windows, formica countertops and particle wood cabinetry, to off-brand fixtures and appliances, we just don’t use it. Period. We don’t even use drywall, because we know the home will be moved at least once, if not continuously, and sooner or later the drywall will crack.
We don’t rely on mechanicals and power to make the house habitable. From ample insulation that keeps both the cold and heat out, to window and door strategies that enable passive cooling and optional bio-mass back up heaters, if you find yourself without power – your home will still be habitable.
